#7 for Ottawa gardens

Hydrangea paniculata ‘Limelight’

I first discovered limelight standing on my deck.  My neighbour and good friend had planted one in her backyard and I was able to get a good view of it.  I marched myself next door and asked the name of the cultivar.  I have been hooked ever since.  One of the things I love about limelight is that it is very strong stemmed.  The flowers start out a beautiful lime green and finish off with a pink hue.  I leave the blooms on the plant over winter and they look great in the winter garden as well.  Check out this video posted on YouTube.
